About the Role
As Event Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering world-class, strategic events that directly contribute to the success of the NSW innovation ecosystem.
You’ll be responsible for curating, planning, and executing events that bring together key stakeholders including startups, investors, corporates, and government bodies.
This is a hands-on role where your leadership will directly shape the future of the startup community in NSW.
Key Responsibilities
- Event Strategy & Execution – Lead the creation of the NSW events calendar, ensuring all events align with Stone & Chalk’s overarching strategy to accelerate growth and innovation. Oversee event coordination, budget management, and liaise with vendors, ensuring every event delivers an exceptional experience and meets key outcomes.
- Partner & Community Engagement – Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with event partners, sponsors, and collaborators. These partnerships are vital for driving the growth of startups, and your ability to build these relationships will directly impact Stone & Chalk’s success and visibility in the NSW innovation ecosystem.
- Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with the NSW and National teams to co-create events that help our founders scale faster. You’ll be at the heart of the action, ensuring that events are aligned with Stone & Chalk’s mission to provide the resources startups need to succeed and thrive.
- Team Leadership – Hire, train, and lead a team of casual event staff, ensuring the seamless execution of every event. Your leadership will create a high-performance culture that reflects our commitment to excellence.
- Venue & Logistics Management – Oversee venue hire, logistical coordination, audiovisual setup, catering, and more. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the event, big or small, runs smoothly, leaving a lasting impression on our stakeholders.
