Competition Guidelines
The sprint is open to both individuals and entities holding an Australian Business Number (ABN). However, the following criteria must be met:
(a) Participants are required to have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of their idea.
(b) All entrants, whether participating individually or as part of a team, must be from a company that employs fewer than 20 full-time staff members.
(a) Both individuals and teams can participate, provided the number of full-time employees at the company they’re representing is below 20.
(b) All team members must be part of the team's core team or officially affiliated ie. mentors or advisors.
(a) A short description of your AI solution and how it addresses at least one of the 5 opportunity areas.
(b) A Public Disclosure Statement which Stone & Chalk can use to describe your team and idea publicly.
(c) Teams must select at least one Opportunity Statement only upon which to focus their solution.
(d) The AI solution proposed must be the original work of the participating team.
(a) Innovation: Originality of the AI solution.
(b) Impact: Potential effect on the challenge area and its scalability.
(c) Technical Feasibility: The practicality of implementing the solution.
(d) Presentation: Clarity and persuasiveness of the video submission.
(a) Participants should submit applications by Close of Business on 21 March 2024 at the latest
(b) Participants will be informed of the decision as to whether they can take part by 28 March 2024
(c) Content kicks off on 8 April 2024
(d) Initial presentations will be submitted on 2 May 2024. Based on these submissions, the number of participants will be reduced to those who will proceed to stage 2
(e) Participants will be informed of the results on 10 May 2024
(f) Stage 2 will begin on 13 May 2024
(g) Demo Day will be held week commencing 17 June 2024
(a) Participants retain IP rights to their solutions, but the competition reserves the right to use submitted materials for promotional purposes.
(a) The winning team for each Opportunity Statement will be allocated prizes from the Competition Prize SandBox
(a) The organizers’ decision will be final in case of any dispute.
(b) Any appeals must be lodged within a week of the announcement of results.
